London Fashion Weekend

Last month, I went to London Fashion Weekend for some girly shopping and general fun.

I’m a sucker for a goodie bag so was excited to get two!

Somehow all I managed to buy was a nail varnish though, very restrained of me…

 Especially as there was a whole section dedicated to vintage…

Glamour at DKNY Jeans

A couple of weeks ago, I went to an event hosted by Glamour magazine and DKNY Jeans at Westfield shopping centre. I didn’t take too many photos (too busy gossiping!) but wanted to show the giant tubs of jelly beans and free cocktails….

Apparently I’m a big fan of grapefruit martinis!

Food, Gloriously Hot Food

So as part of Brighton Food Festival there is a chilli festival. Imagine lots of very spicy food and more pop up restaurants.

I tried some sauces but wimped out on the hottest one. Things are labelled 30/10 for a reason and I like my tastebuds! The icecream van was doing a roaring trade although it was selling chilli icecream too...

More Mexican too and more mariachi bands. May have caught some on a bit of a break, tucking into that icecream...

Loved my Thai food so much that there’s no photo, but we are planning a trip to the actual restaurant really soon. 

Food, Glorious Food

So September was Brighton Food Festival Month which basically means loads of yummy food opportunities. Little peek at my outfit above, it was really sunny for once. We went down to the street market, where loads of restaurants had pop up stalls. Thinks the most amazing smells ever!

Happily tucked into some vegetable stir fry, while others were more content with gourmet hot dogs.

Carluccio’s stall looked so yummy, and really well presented too. Even Antonio Carluccio was enjoying it…

 There was even a whole section dedicated to Mexican food which is always awesome. May have had a photo as part of a mariachi band…

                          

Renegade London

A couple of weeks ago, I went along to Renegade's first visit to London. It was a really good day and I think I walked around more times than I could count. I'm trying to be good and not buy too much at the moment, but I did hint for lots of things for my birthday!

I also picked up a crazy amount of business cards...

Some of my favourite stalls were Pretty Zoo, Miso Funky and Elsy & Vine, but I didn't see a single stall I didn't  like.

There were a few stalls offering workshops too. The Make Lounge looked busy all day with their felted woodland animals.I stopped at Craft Central to make a little fabric rosette. I even managed to get the man invovled even if it was just colouring in a postcard!

The PomPom Project also had a stall. They raise money for cancer care and were giving out free pom pom makers as well as information about their work. You could even stay and have a knit and a natter with them.

I really hope this isn't Renegade's last visit to London, I would love to have a stall one day.

Birthday Fun

So one weekend way back in September I went home for my Mum’s birthday. We spent some time enjoying the sunshine and then all went out for dinner.

Next day we went to a new craft fair, Concrete Market, in Croydon. It was really good, nice mix of familiar and new faces.

 Couldn’t resist buying something…

And She's Back

I could make 100 excuses and apologies (again!) about why I haven’t blogged but I don’t think you guys need to hear them. I was just a bit uninspired with blogging and knew I wouldn’t have much time to write decent posts over summer. Like I said, I thought it was better to just not blog than blog complete rubbish!

But I’m back and with a shiny new blog design! I think I’ve managed to iron out the creases but if you notice anything a bit odd, then let me know. I’ve got lots of posts to catch you up on stuff since June and some new stuff too.

A return to blogging!

So I was planning a rather more exciting return to my blog! It's been pretty quiet here for a while I know. But I've been so busy I thought it was better to not blog at all than blog complete rubbish!

I have a new blog banner, buttons and other visual treats all ready to go. And blog posts written and photos edited. But the Internet won't work at all on my laptop! And it hasn't for days...So I thought I would try the new blogger app out instead.

Today Cath Kidston was doing a book signing of her new book Patch! at Selfridges. As I work just down the road it would have been silly not to go down there!

She was absolutely lovely and her new book looks great. I promise a bigger blog post on it once I've got better Internet and had a good read!

Photos are just from my phone but that's the only way I can blog them at the moment! Apparently this app will only let me put them at the end of the post too...
